Description
Picnic is a picture sharing software that was developed in 2006/ 2007. The software gives users the possibility to share pictures personalized and is a combination between an instant messenger and a file sharing tool.
The need for Picnic is that former file sharing tools don't fit to today's requirements any more. This new generation of file sharing tools aims to solve such problems. A user can relate certain users to certain files. This way, the file sharing process is totally personalized.
A connection between two users is made through a peer-to-peer connection. In case a direct-connection is not possible to realize, the file-transfer is realized through a server.
