Description
This project was done for the "Plansee AG" (located in
Reutte/Austria). The goal of the application was to create an "easy
to use" and "maintain measurement" application for
a very specialized product.
The main focus was put on relating the application as close as possible
onto the real work flow. Employees shall be able to enter data as
easy as possible. The program was created with permanent feedback
from its further users in order to keep it as close as possible
to their needs.
The old version was implemented in MS-Access with heavy use of VBA.
Some components were created in Excel with a connection to the main
Access application.
The Access development started in Summer 2003 and finished in Summer
2006. Since this date the Java Version is under development and
was successful introduced in February 2007.
